The Great Conjunction- What it is and Why It’s the Radical Change We Desperately Need

You may have heard about “The Great Conjunction,” also referred to as the “Christmas Star” and how it is astrologically, and astronomically significant. Like, people associate it with the birth of Jesus significant. Like, it hasn’t happened in 800 years according to NASA significant. Like, it will “set the tone” for the next twenty years significant.

Astrologically speaking, this event is a chance for a fresh start. The fact that it’s also occurring on the Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, and the Summer Solstice in the Southern hemisphere, makes it all the more rare and special.

The Great Conjunction occurs with the largest (and outlier) planets in our solar System, Saturn and Jupiter, meeting in Aquarius, and appearing as one, single, “Christmas Star,” or perhaps more accurately, Solstice Star. Saturn represents discipline, maturity, and power. Jupiter represents growth, expansion, healing, prosperity, good fortune, and miracles. And Aquarius is the sign of radical social progress, humanitarianism, and aspiring change.

Astrologers call this event the beginning of a new era.

This is really fascinating news, as it is such a rare event that supposedly changes the tone for the next two decades, and it’s occurring during a literal change in seasons, on the first day of Winter in the Northern Hemisphere, and the first day of Summer in the Southern Hemisphere. In the United States, the COVID-19 vaccine is rolling out to the public, and we are about to inaugurate president-elect Joe Biden.

Things are definitely shifting.
