
Hello! It’s been a minute since I shared a gratitude list with you. Life is cycling, as it does, but I’ve been re-prioritizing my morning gratitude habit (instead of doing it in the evening. I find it’s more effective when I write it earlier. Like with exercise, if I do it early, I get to enjoy the benefits all day long.)
So, without further ado, despite life’s ups and downs, here’s what I’ve been feeling especially grateful for lately:
<3 Fall weather inspiring me to run again and hitting a personal best. I ran up half a mountain this week that I never thought I’d be able to do. I went at a snails pace, stopped a few times, spit a lot, but I freaking made it.
<3 Feeling renewed inspiration in the kitchen, from the Pumpkin Sage Gnocchi I made last weekend, to a ginger carrot salmon stew I’m working on, and my favorite thing…. roasted vegetables, especially brussels sprouts, sweet potatos, and butternut squash.
<3 Getting a surprise visit from one of my best friends. The circumstances were strange, but the company was still great
<3 Finding a gorgeous hot pink, bedazzled $10 Goodwill GOWN for a Halloween costume and planning Halloween costume ideas with my sister, and settling on the most kid-friendly and cheap one because…
<3 I get to go home and see my nieces, nephews, and family this Halloween
<3 New warm hoodies, especially this fluffy white one
<3 High half pony tails and red lipsticks
<3 Masks covered in rhinestones
<3 The White Pumpkin and Pumpkin Vanilla Marshmallow candles from Bath and Body Works…. Plus the Heritage Pumpkin candle from Target. So freaking good.
<3 Sunshine every single day
<3 How my indoor/outdoor cats come in at “curfew”/dinner time almost without fail every day
<3 Voting early and by mail and learning most people in my circle did as well <3 <3 <3
<3 David Letterman’s “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction” show on Netflix. I recommend Dave Chappelle, Lizzo, and Jay- Z, but honestly I’m watching them all and they’re all so good.
